Our Privacy Promise

Klosyt is owned, operated, and maintained by Gregory Yuzik ("us", or "we").

Your privacy isn't just a feature of Klosyt, it's the foundation. Klosyt has no servers of its own. Your closet, your photos, and your personal information are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, and none of it is ever sent to us. We cannot see that data, and we designed it that way on purpose.

A few features get help from outside your device, and this policy names every one: Ask Klosyt, which is free, can answer on Apple's Private Cloud Compute; Klosyt AI, which is optional, sends the item you're identifying to Google and, on iPhone and iPad, a barcode you scan to UPCitemdb; importing a product link loads that page from the store's website; and currency exchange rates come from a public rates service. Each receives only what its feature needs, and none of them sends anything to us.

We Don't Collect Your Data

Klosyt has no servers, accounts, or analytics, so we collect none of your data, whether or not you use Klosyt AI. The sections below describe every service the app contacts for the features you use, and what each receives.

Ask Klosyt and Apple's Private Cloud Compute

Ask Klosyt is a free feature that answers questions about your wardrobe on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro. When Apple's Private Cloud Compute is available, Ask uses it to answer; otherwise Apple's on-device model answers and nothing leaves your device.

• What is sent: your question and the conversation so far; the closet details Ask looks up to answer (up to 40 items per lookup, which can include what an item cost and when you added it); your wear history, saved and planned outfits, and the forecast; the titles and times of the day's events if Use My Calendar is on; a photo you attach; and photos of the garments an answer suggests.
• Who receives it: Apple's Private Cloud Compute. Apple designed it so that your request is used only to answer it and isn't stored or made available to Apple — or to us. See Apple's description of Private Cloud Compute.
• When it happens: only when you use Ask Klosyt. Ask never sends anything to Google. Klosyt's other AI — outfit suggestions, reading your photos and care labels, and reading imported product pages — runs on Apple's on-device model; only Klosyt AI's web search, described next, uses Google.

Klosyt AI: Identifying Items with Google

Klosyt AI is an optional feature that identifies a clothing item from a photo, a name you type or, on iPhone and iPad, a barcode, and fills in its details for you. It includes 5 free identifications, then requires a subscription. To find the product online, it uses Google's Gemini with Google Search, and Google Cloud Vision. Before anything is first sent, the app asks your permission; if you decline, or later turn web search off in Settings, Klosyt AI identifies items with Apple's on-device model only.

• What is sent: a cut-out of the garment on a white background — never your full photo — plus the text that narrows the search: details the app read from the photo on your device, anything you type or refine, and a scanned barcode. When you re-match an item already in your closet, its saved details (name, brand, type, colors, material, pattern, UPC, SKU, and description) are sent too. On iPhone and iPad, a barcode you scan is first looked up in UPCitemdb, a public product database.
• Who receives it: Google LLC (Gemini, through Firebase and Vertex AI, and Cloud Vision), acting as our data processor under Google Cloud's terms, which don't let Google use your content to train its models; and UPCitemdb, for scanned barcodes. To prove it's the genuine app, Klosyt also exchanges security tokens with Firebase App Check and Apple's App Attest; they carry none of your content.
• What is not sent: the rest of your wardrobe, your other photos, your name, your location, or any usage analytics. Only the one item you are identifying is involved.
• When it happens: when you ask Klosyt AI to identify or re-match an item, or while you're adding an item if the on-device read isn't confident — and only after you've given that permission. You can review and edit every field before saving.

If you decline, or turn web search off in Settings, nothing is sent to Google or UPCitemdb. After the free identifications, Klosyt AI requires an active subscription; the rest of the app stays free.

No Tracking. No Analytics. No Exceptions.

Klosyt contains zero analytics frameworks, zero advertising SDKs, and zero tracking technologies. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not build profiles. We do not sell data, because we don't have any to sell.

Diagnostics You Choose to Send

If you contact us for support, you can include an in-app diagnostic report. It contains your app version, device model, OS version, language and region setting, and time zone; how many items and outfits you have and the size of your database; and the app's own log from the last 30 minutes, with AI requests and answers removed. It's sent only when you choose to share it. We use this information solely to troubleshoot your issue and do not retain it beyond that purpose.

Your Data Stays Yours

All of your content is stored exclusively on your device and in your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Your iCloud data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and protected by Apple's encryption.

Device Permissions

Klosyt may request the following device permissions. No data from these permissions is ever sent to us:

• Camera (iPhone, iPad, Mac), Used to photograph your clothing items and, on iPhone and iPad, to scan barcodes and care labels. Photos are saved to your device and your personal iCloud account, and we never receive them. What Klosyt AI and Ask Klosyt may send is described above.
• Photos (iPhone, iPad, Mac), Used to let you pick photos of your clothing and outfits, and a profile picture. Klosyt reads the photos you pick on your device.
• Location, Used for weather-based outfit suggestions through Apple's WeatherKit, and to find nearby places (like beaches, parks, and ski areas) and your town's name through Apple Maps. Your last location is kept on your device for the widgets and Siri.
• Calendar (iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Vision Pro), Used to save planned outfits to a dedicated Klosyt calendar. If you turn on Use My Calendar, Klosyt also reads the titles and times of the day's events to style around them — never their notes, locations, or who else is invited.
• World Sensing (Apple Vision Pro), Used to place 3D outfit displays in your space. It's processed on your device.
• Notifications, Local notifications only (e.g., outfit reminders).

Apple Platform Services

• Apple WeatherKit, Provides weather data. Processed by Apple's servers, not ours.
• Apple Maps, Finds nearby places and your town's name from your location and, on iPhone and iPad, looks up places you search for. Processed by Apple's servers, not ours.
• Apple StoreKit, Handles subscriptions. We never receive your payment details.
• Apple CloudKit, Syncs your Klosyt through your personal iCloud account.
• Apple Private Cloud Compute, Answers Ask Klosyt's questions when it's available, as described above.

Third-Party Services

Apart from Apple's services, Klosyt contacts these services, and only for the features named:

• Google (Gemini with Google Search, Cloud Vision, Firebase), Used only by Klosyt AI to identify an item, as described above: a cut-out of the garment and the text that narrows the search, never the rest of your wardrobe. Google processes the request as our data processor and, under Google Cloud's terms, doesn't use your content to train its models. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• UPCitemdb, A public product database. On iPhone and iPad, when Klosyt AI looks up a barcode you scan (after you've given it permission), UPCitemdb receives the barcode and sees your IP address.
• open.er-api.com (ExchangeRate-API), Provides currency exchange rates so prices in different currencies can be converted. When a feature needs current exchange rates, the app requests the latest rates, at most once every 12 hours. The request carries no information about you, though the service sees your IP address and the time.
• Store and brand websites, When you import a product link, the app loads that page from the store's website and reads it on your device. After a Klosyt AI search, it loads the pages the search cited and the product images it found. These sites see an ordinary web request, including your IP address.

If you don't use Klosyt AI or import product links, the only one of these services Klosyt contacts is the exchange-rate service, when a feature needs current rates.

Subscriptions

Klosyt AI is an optional auto-renewable subscription processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your Rights (International)

Regardless of where you live, Klosyt's privacy-first architecture means your rights are inherently protected:

• Right of Access, All your data is on your device and in your personal iCloud account.
• Right to Rectification, You can edit or update any data directly within the app.
• Right to Erasure, Delete items within the app or delete the app itself.
• Right to Data Portability, Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under your control.
• Right to Object, Apart from support emails and reports you choose to send us, we hold none of your data, so there is nothing else of ours to object to. You can stop Klosyt AI's processing by declining its permission or turning web search off in Settings, and avoid Private Cloud Compute by not using Ask Klosyt.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), these rights are guaranteed under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). For users in Brazil, these rights are provided under the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD). Klosyt has no servers and collects no personal data itself. When you use Klosyt AI, we send the item you're identifying to Google and, on iPhone and iPad, a scanned barcode to UPCitemdb; our legal basis is your consent and performance of the feature you requested, with Google acting as our processor under its terms. Ask Klosyt's requests are processed by Apple on Private Cloud Compute only to answer them.

Website Analytics

This website (klosyt.com) is a static site hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies. For traffic and performance it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal data. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, page requested) are retained by Cloudflare on its standard retention schedule. The Klosyt app itself includes no analytics.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date above.

Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Klosyt ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Klosyt is a digital closet application available on iOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS.

Klosyt's AI Stylist uses real-time weather data provided by Apple WeatherKit to generate personalized outfit suggestions. When you request an outfit suggestion, the AI analyzes current and forecasted weather conditions for your location, such as temperature, precipitation, and wind, alongside your Klosyt to recommend appropriate clothing. Outfit suggestions are created on your device by Apple's on-device model; weather data is fetched from Apple's servers and is not sent to us or any third party. Ask Klosyt can use Apple's Private Cloud Compute, and the optional Klosyt AI identification uses Google; the Privacy Policy above describes what each receives.

Your Privacy Comes First

We believe your personal data belongs to you and only you. Klosyt is architected so that we never collect, access, or store any of your personal information, apart from support emails and reports you choose to send us. Your photos, Klosyt data, and preferences are stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account. The features that use services outside your device, such as Ask Klosyt and the optional Klosyt AI, are described in our Privacy Policy; none of them sends anything to us.

Your Content, Your Ownership

Everything you create in Klosyt belongs entirely to you. We do not access, collect, or claim any rights to your content.

Subscriptions

Klosyt offers an optional auto-renewable subscription ("Klosyt AI") for AI-assisted adding: identifying an item from a photo or a barcode, reading a product link with AI, and finding items online to fill in their details. It also unlocks For Today, the picks of your saved outfits that suit the day's weather. The free tier provides unlimited Klosyt storage and core functionality forever, including adding items by hand, and you will never lose access to your clothing library.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings at any time.

Klosyt AI includes 5 free AI identifications — there is no time-limited free trial. After those are used, an active $0.99 / month subscription is required to continue.

Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, features, and branding, is our intellectual property.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Circumvent any security or access controls
• Redistribute or resell the App or any part of it

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.

Third-Party Services

The App uses Apple services including iCloud (CloudKit), WeatherKit, Maps, StoreKit, and Private Cloud Compute. Your use of these services is subject to Apple's terms and conditions. Optional features also use the third-party services listed in the Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at our discretion.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the United States.
